The MBA Marriage Mind Set...

I was speaking with a very pretty 25 year old female NYU MBA student originally from Russia. She said she’d like to meet a tall WASPy man no older than 37, preferably with an MBA from a top 10 school. She’s looking for a nice, good looking guy with a sense of humor who likes to travel so when they get married they will buy a Villa in Cannes, a house in the Hamptons and of course a nice large apartment in NYC. So let me ask you this. Does this MBA mind set make life harder or easier for women who want to get married?

Successful people surround themselves with successful people. They are confident, and not intimidated by other ambitious people.

So my take is that the MBA helps your friend. My brother received his MBA from Columbia and the women there were attractive, successful, and linked to similarly situated men - your friend is only 25, she has plenty of time. The MBA students I dated from Darden also were well-situated. Men were not intimated, because they wanted an equal.

Obviously, if your friend only wants a mate with an MBA, that mindset will be a hindrance because it excludes successful entrepeneurs, lawyers, and others.

It's quite simply the most retarded things I've ever come across...

All other things being equal, a richer woman is more attractive than a poor woman.

Cass, if she is very pretty-- she should have just cut to the chase and signed herself up to be a mail order bride from Russia-- she could save a lot on tuition and even airfare.. I hear a lot of rich guys that are very busy making $$ don't have time to play the games associated with dating, so this will save her time and money. If she really wants an MBA she can get one online!
